この茶碗は、岡倉登志による『茶の本』の解釈に触発され、廃棄された陶片を用いて制作された。「茶道の本質は、不完全なものを崇拝するものである」と語る岡倉天心の思想に基づき、陶片の継ぎ合わせや釉薬の流れによって、不完全さの中にある美しさを表現した。裂け目や接合部は隠されることなく、自然のままに活かされ、時の流れや再生の象徴となっている。

Inspired by Okakura Takashis interpretation of “The Book of Tea,” this tea bowl was created using discarded ceramic shards. Based on Okakura Tenshin's philosophy that “the essence of the tea ceremony is the worship of imperfection,” this bowl expresses the beauty in imperfection through the joints of the ceramic shards and the flow of the glaze. The cracks and joints are not hidden, but are left in their natural state, symbolizing the flow of time and rebirth.
