「改心と夜明け」: 元囚人であった主人公の盗んだ銀食器と、改心する切っ掛けでありシンボルとなった神父の差し出した銀の燭台をテーマに制作したゴブレット型のキャンドルホルダー。フランス革命後の不安定な時代を不遇な目に合いながらも生き抜こうと時代の夜明けへと進む人々の物語。私にとって、初めて読んだ小学生の頃から今も尚、気づきや学び、明日への希望を与えてくれる小説である。; This goblet-shaped candleholder is inspired by the stolen silverware of the protagonist, a former prisoner, and the silver candlestick offered by the priest, which became a symbol and catalyst for his reformation. The story revolves around people moving toward the dawn of a new era, struggling to survive in the unstable times after the French Revolution, despite their unfortunate circumstances. For me, this novel has been a source of awareness, learning, and hope for tomorrow ever since I first read it in elementary school.
