本書では文化大革命前後の中国を生きる人々が描かれている。社会的、政治的な圧力に抑えつけられながらも、登場人物達がたくましく生きるところからインスピレーションを受け表現した。

This book depicts people living in China before and after the Cultural Revolution. I was inspired by the characters' resilience in the face of the social and political pressures that suppressed them.
