「お犬さま」

黒柴の悠々自適な姿を和装に包み、パイプを手にしたこの香炉は、日本の文化と柴犬との繋がりをユーモラスに表現した。『愛犬の日本史』から得たインスピレーションをもとに、パイプから立ち上る香りを楽しんでいるかのような「お犬さま」の擬人化を描いた。人間と精神的に深く繋がる柴犬の姿に込められた愛情を感じながら、その香りを通じて私たちと犬たちの絆をより深く感じてもらえれば嬉しい。

This incense burner depicts a leisurely black Shiba Inu dressed in a kimono and holding a pipe, humorously expressing the connection between Japanese culture and Shiba Inus. Inspired by Aiken no Nihonshi (The History of Beloved Dogs in Japan), I anthropomorphized the dog into an oinu-sama, as if savoring the fragrance wafting from the pipe. Shiba Inus share a deep emotional bond with humans, and through this work, I hope to evoke that affection and deepen our appreciation of the special connection we share with our canine companions.
