「俺たちは誰かの影響を受けずにはいられない。自分がどう思うかよりもみんながどう思うかを気にしちゃう。」（本文から引用） この本では子供たちの気持ちが教師や友達、親などの考えによって見えにくくなっていて、本質を見失っている。大事なのは他者の意見が自分に入ってくる中でも、物事の本質を見極めて自分自身の感性を信じることだ。

We care more about what others think than what we think.” (quoted from the text) In this book, children’s feelings are obscured by the thoughts of teachers, friends, and parents, causing them to lose sight of the essence of things. The important thing is to see through to the true nature of things and trust one's own sensibilities, even as the opinions of others influence us.
