「ふたりの先生は二本の石の柱のように雪の中に立ったまま、たがいに、じっと見つめあっていた」 禁煙先生と正義先生の再会の場面と、その後料理店で語り合う場面から、グラスを伏せて置き立ちすくむ2人の様子を表現した。

“The two teachers stood in the snow like two stone pillars, gazing at each other intently.” This scene depicts the reunion of Mr. No-Smoking and Mr. Justice, and later, their conversation at the restaurant. It represents the two men frozen in place, their glasses set down, in a moment of stillness.
