「森の音」

「森の匂いがした。秋の、夜に近い時間の森。風が木々を揺らし、ざわざわと葉の鳴る音がする。夜になりかける時間の、森の匂い。」 （本文から引用） 音が聞こえる、匂いがする、風を感じる。 自分の故郷の長野にある山の中に立ち、深く息を吸い込んでいるように錯覚させるような一つひとつの細かく美しい描写を作品にしたいと思い、ピアノから零れてくる山の情景を透かし彫りとしのぎの技法で表現した。

I could smell the forest. It was autumn, near nighttime, in the forest. The wind shook the trees, and the rustling of leaves could be heard. The smell of the forest at almost night.” (quoted from the text) Hearing the sound, smelling the smell, feeling the wind. I wanted to create a work of art with each detailed and beautiful description that would give the illusion of standing in the mountains in Nagano, my hometown, and breathing deeply. I used openwork and shinogi techniques to express the mountain scenes that spilled out from the piano.
