どんなに努力してもどうにもならないこと、自分の力では変えられないことがある。逃れようとしても逃れられず、受け入れるしかないことがある。そんなとき私は自分の何を引き換えに何を望んできたのだろうか。何を失い何を得てきたのだろうか。

There are things that, no matter how hard we try, we cannot change; things that we cannot control by ourselves. There are things we cannot escape, even if we try, and the only option is to accept them. At such times, I wonder what I have desired in exchange for what I have lost, and what I have gained. What have I lost, and what have I gained?
