株式会社MARUWAは愛知県尾張旭市に本社を構え、産業セラミックスおよびセラミック電子部品の開発・製造・販売を行い東証プライムに上場しております。設立以来、素材にこだわり、素材の奥深さを探求し、セラミックスを中心に事業をグローバルに展開しています。

神戸財団は、株式会社MARUWAの芸術文化支援活動の一環として2013年に設立されました。芸術振興と若手芸術家への支援を通じて陶磁文化の発展に寄与することを目指し活動しています。

「宵の華」: 夢のような世界を閉じ込めることを意識して蓋物を制作した。蓋物もテーマにしている万華鏡もどちらにも覗き込む楽しさがある。覗き込む人と焼き物の関係が、本を読む人と、物語の登場人物を俯瞰してみることと重なると考えた。; I created the lids with the intention of enclosing a dreamlike world. Both the lids and the kaleidoscopes, which are the theme of the exhibition, offer the pleasure of being peered into. I thought the relationship between the person gazing into the pottery and the pottery itself mirrors the relationship between a reader and the characters in a story.
